Although pleased with my figurative and landscape paintings, I felt a need to create a more individual vision that had not been seen before. For this new path, my paintings had to be original, visually exciting, and beautiful. What is beauty? It is balance and harmony; colors, shapes and forms that are visually pleasing. Some view beauty with suspicion and feel that beauty and profundity are incompatible. I do not agree. While styles may change, profound beauty endures.
